Priced Dh3,399 on Souq.com with 20% discount while at Jumbo Electronics it’s Dh4,499

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, which created a lot of hype with its curved screen, has silently made its entry into retail stores in the UAE.

The device is priced at Dh3,399 on Souq.com with a 20 per cent discount while Jumbo Electronics has priced the device at Dh4,499.

According to Samsung the device started selling at retail stores a week before Christmas.
Samsung unveiled both the Note 4 and the Note Edge, which comes with a curved second screen on the edge and displays notifications and alerts, on September 3 at the IFA in Berlin, ahead of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Before Apple iPhone 6, Samsung pulls out all stops for Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge

The device was officially launched in the UAE in October and at that time it was said the Note Edge might never hit local retail stores.
"It will only be available in very limited quantity,” Hayssam Yassine, Head of Telecommunications Group at Samsung Gulf Electronics told ‘Emirates 24|7’ at the official unveiling of the Note Edge in Dubai.

Apart from local retailers the device is also being sold via Etisalat. You can get a free Galaxy Note Edge device with 10GB monthly data package and 300 flexi-minutes for Dh400 per month with 18 months contract.
You can also make a down payment of Dh500 and still get 10GB monthly data package and 300 flexi-minutes for Dh250 with a 12 months contract.
The Note Edge is the first-of-its-kind smartphone with a curved bezel and is considered more as Samsung’s test device. The reviews so far have been mixed with questions raised about its performance and the performance of the S Pen. “People still are opting for the Note 4. Its value for money,” one trader said last evening. For those who own it its more about processing the latest gizmo.
